Defense contractor Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC ) landed a pair of Pentagon contracts Thursday, worth nearly $38 million in aggregate.
The larger of the two contracts, valued at $26 million, is a firm-fixed-price contract to modify and install Northrop's AN/AAQ-24(V) Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) System aboard a pair of Airbus A319CJ "Head of State" aircraft by March 31, 2016.
Classified as a foreign military sales contract, the LAIRCM award lists Germany as the recipient country. This fact, plus the statement that the systems will be installed aboard Airbus aircraft, confirm that this contract is not the same as the two contracts for which the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency�recently sought Congressional approval. Those contracts involved the states of Oman and Qatar, and were expressly for installation aboard Boeing (NYSE: BA ) aircraft.
Northrop also won a smaller, $11.9 million award Thursday. That one was for the supply to the U.S. Air Force of low voltage power systems for unspecified aircraft. It remains in force through December 2020.�

They sell precious jewelry and luxury goods and watches to aspirational consumers around the world. The same economics drive Swatch. I don�� own Swatch, in big measure. Before BUD's late January selloff I was having a hard time discerning between BUD and Diageo (DEO), an internationally focused alcohol company. InBev pays an annual dividend of $2.21 which amounts to a 2.54% yield on cost (1.56% yield at end of quarter stock price). DEO currently boasts a 2.32% dividend yield. Both stocks carry a 5 year 0.8 Beta which I like. Ultimately, the 10% dip made my mind up for me; however, due to BUD's recent price appreciation I may decide to take profits in the near future and head in the direction of the higher dividend and international growth, picking up shares of DEO which are currently available at a better earnings multiple: 22.9x compared to 19.6x .

Three-Month Average Volume: 74,659From a technical perspective, RWC trended higher here right above some near-term support levels at $3.20 to $3.10 with above-average volume. This stock has been uptrending for the last two months, with shares moving higher from its low of $2.62 to its intraday high of $3.58. During that move, shares of RWC have been making mostly higher lows and higher highs, which is bullish technical price action. That move is quickly pushing shares of RWC within range of triggering a major breakout trade. That trade will hit if RWC manages to take out its 52-week high at $3.74 with high volume.
Traders should now look for long-biased trades in RWC as long as it's trending above some near-term support levels at $3.20 or its 50-day at $3.10 and then once it sustains a move or close above $3.74 with volume that hits near or above 74,659 shares. If that breakout hits soon, then RWC will set up to enter new 52-week-high territory, which is bullish technical price action. Some possible upside targets off that breakout are $4.50 to $5.
